Mission

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management will prepare students who are globally competitive to manage a hospitality business effectively and sustainably at the highest level of customer service. Students will also be able to develop, manage, and grow tourism to enhance the economic well-being of the communities in which they live.

To be recognized as the national and international leader in Hospitality Business Leadership, education, research, and service at a premier Hispanic-serving institution of higher education by advancing knowledge and transforming lives across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, the United States, and beyond.
